Carl Hawkins was born on July 08, 1950 with a twin Carolyn Hawkins, to the late A.L and Mattie Austin Hawkins in
Waco, TX.
He attended Downsville Elementary School and later graduated from George Washington Carver in 1968. He then pursued higher education at Texas State Technical College where he received a Field Service technician certificate. Soon after, he worked for Central Texas Iron Works for a year. Then served as a lab technician at TSTC for 20 years. Later retired from Brown Maytag's Company after 17 years as a service representative traveling across the U.S. installing and repairing washers and drying in homes and laundry mats.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, five brothers A.J., L.D., Floyd, Cloyd and Glenn Hawkins, two sisters Unedia Franklin of Temple, Tx, Willie Jean Humprey of Baytown, TX.
Carl leaves to cherish his memories with two children, son Youree Tremont Hawkins Sr (Natasha) of
Waco, TX and daughter Rosemary Ceaser (Quintin) of Crowley, TX, one sister Carolyn Hawkins of
Waco, TX, four grandchildren Micah, MacKenzie, Youree Hawkins Jr, Jeremiah and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He had great love for his family by displaying a harmonious and contagious sense of humor that kept us laughing until his final day. Carl will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.
