Doug moved to Amarillo in 1979 and started that faithful drive to Borger, Texas for 41 years as a welder at Phillips 66 until his retirement in 2021.
Doug was a simple man. He worked hard and loved his job, work friends and going dancing. When at home he enjoyed watching the old westerns and OU Football! He loved his family above all and he always looked forward to spending time with them. The youngens always put a huge smile on his face. Those visits were always spent being spoiled and loved on by Pops!
He met Montie in 2014 and they tied the knot in January 2023. Together, they choose to adopt Izabella (Izzy) and give her a loving home.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents Carl Everett & Lola Mae Justice, sister Shirley Fleming, brother in law Mike Kingham.
He is survived by his loving wife, Montie Justice & daughter, Izzy of the home. His daughter, Carisa Salmon (Brian), of San Antonio, TX, Sons, Aaron Justice, of Amarillo, TX, Hunter Howard, Forrest City, AR, and Jude Samora of Rosharon Tx; 5 grandchildren, Cheyanne, Addisyn, Carlee, Haylee & Leeam. Sister, Sue Kingham, 2 brothers, Larry Justice (Beverly) & Carol Justice (Debbie); mother in law, Patricia Herron of Amarillo, sister in laws, Crystal Underwood (Jack) of Coldwater, KS, and Tracy Butler (David) of Pampa, TX, brother in law, Bryan Thompson (LeAnn) of Lewisville, TX.; and a host of nieces & nephews, and friends who knew and loved him dearly.
That Dougie grin, ornery chuckle, and infectious laugh will be missed by all.
