Carl Lewelling, affectionately known as the “Ford Man,” passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on January 9, 1948, to Carl Clifton Lewelling and Melba Jean Lewelling (Parker) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carl was a gentle soul whose love for his family and passion for all things Ford shaped the many lives he touched. Carl Married Patricia Lynn in 1967, they spent 57 beautiful years building a life together.
Carl was a kind and caring man who never sought help for himself but was always eager to lend a hand to those around him. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and his presence was a reassuring force in the lives of his family. He delighted in going to every single game for his children and, later in life, for his grandchildren, cheering them on with passion.
Christmas was truly a special occasion for Carl’s family, and he took great joy in making those moments memorable. He would generously give out money to his loved ones and then treat them to meals and shopping trips, ensuring laughter and happiness surrounded everyone he cherished.
As an avid automotive enthusiast, Carl found immense joy in learning about, fixing, and appreciating trucks and cars, particularly Fords. His love for these vehicles was not a mere hobby; it was a lifelong passion that reflected his character and dedication. Whether it was scouring Facebook Marketplace for the best deals or discussing car restoration, his enthusiasm was infectious, further solidifying his legacy as the 'Ford Man.'
Above all, Carl’s proudest accomplishments were his family, who were the center of his universe. Though he may be gone, his spirit, love, and the countless memories shared will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Carl Lewelling leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and love that will forever be remembered. His presence will be deeply missed, yet the memories he created will remain a lasting tribute to a truly remarkable man.
