Carl A. Loescher, 68, of Dixon, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon. He worked for Woods Inc., in Oregon, as a machine operator for years, prior to his retirement.
Carl was born, June 1, 1957, in Dixon, the son of Edgar and Donna (Hartman) Loescher. He was known for his hardworking spirit, big heart, and sense of humor that could brighten any room. Whether he was lending a hand to a neighbor, fixing something around the house, or making everyone laugh with his quick wit, he gave fully of himself.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life-boating on a sunny day, casting a line to fish, or working on projects around the home. A long-suffering but loyal Chicago Bears fan, he never lost hope that next season would be the one. He was happiest when he was busy and surrounded by the people he cared about. His kindness and willingness to help others made a lasting impression, and his legacy of love and hard work will continue to live on in his family and friends.
Carl is survived by two daughters, Marisa (Purdue) Blackburn, Ciara (Cameron) Magne; two brothers, Dean (Linda) Loescher, Dennis (Charlene) Loescher; two sisters, Jeanette (Orville) Paschke, Tedra (Gary) Maves; and seven grandchildren, Taylor, Parker, Sawyer, Sailor, Deagan, Zoe, Marlee.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Richard and Ralph Loescher.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, followed by the funeral service at noon, with Pastor Jack Briggs, officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
