Carl E. Olson, age 83 of De Pere, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was born in Green Bay on April 9, 1942, son of the late Gustave and Cecilia (Justeson) Olson. Carl served his country in the United States Air Force from July 26, 1960, to July 25, 1966. After he returned home from the service he attended NWTC where he became a CPA. He met Marie Albrecht and they were married on November 8, 1969. He owned and operated Green Bay retreading on Broadway St. in Green Bay, WI for 20 years. Carl enjoyed working. He worked for Waltco for the last 20 years. He also worked for the Green Bay Area school district as a bus monitor for the past 5 years. He loved to play Sheepshead with his many friends. He made friends everywhere he went. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Brian Olson, his daughter, Brenda Beaudette, her children; Trigger (Melissa) Beaudette, their children; Leilah and Thea, Kayla (Trevor) Fenske and their children; Carly and Sawyer, and Brooklyn Beaudette. Carl is further survived by his siblings; Karen Leanna, Roger (Faye) Olson and Rodney (Debbie) Olson, sisters in law, Carol Olson and Janet Moran.
Preceding Carl in death are his parents, his wife, Marie, second wife, Paula, sister Donna (Jack) La Haye, brother, Jerry Olson and brothers in law; Dale Leanna and Bob Moran.
Family and friends may visit Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11:30am until 1:00pm when there will be a Sharing of Memories. Full military honors will follow. Entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum. Following the services, please join us at Frank’s Again Bar and Grill, 107 N. Main St., Seymour to celebrate Carl.
Carl’s family wishes to extend a sincere Thank You to Dr. Bongiono, Bellin Hospital Staff as well as Bristol Hospice for all their care and concern.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
