Carl Osborne Obituary
Mr. Carl E. Osborne, age 89 of Speedwell passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was a member of Shipley Grove Church of God. Mr. Osborne was born on April 20, 1936 in the Westbourne Community of Campbell County and was a former Coal Miner. He had a true passion for fishing, and enjoyed working in the garden and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Veleria Ann Osborne, son, Jonathan Osborne, parents, Dave and Clara (Walls) Osborne, and brothers, Hubert E. Osborne, Samuel L. Osborne, Michael Osborne, and sister, Alice Osborne Cox.
He is survived by his children, Vanessa Warman and husband, Donnie, Clara Jo Bonney, Carl Osborne, Jr. and wife, Kelly, Sam Osborne and wife, Janie, Cynthia Barton and husband, Kenneth, and Mark Osborne and wife, Jackie; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lola Davidson and Betty Sue Papagno; brother, David Osborne; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, 11:00 AM at Miracle Cemetery in Speedwell with Rev. Rick Braden officiating. Mr. Osborne’s grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Carl E. Osborne.
