Carl Robins Obituary

ROBINS, Carl J., age 82, of White Stone, formerly of Richmond, widower of Doris M. Robins, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009. He was a WWII Navy veteran and a well loved member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all. He is survived by a daughter, Dana R. Snead and her husband, Tom, of Goochland; three sons, Carl J. Robins and his wife, Becky, Richard V. Robins and his wife, Jo, all of Richmond, and Chris Allen Robins and his wife, Christie, of York, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Jessie, Kelly, Dylan, Bryant, Katie, Elaina, Anna and Timmy; three great-grandchildren, Amanda and Cate and Grayson; two sisters, Muriel Colley and Mozelle Richards of Mechanicsville; three brothers, Christian Robins of King William, Charles Robins of Richmond and Pete Robins of Warner. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday in Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Interment Forest Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery at Warner. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Maple Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 658, Irvington, Va. 22480.
