Funeral services celebrating the life of Carl W. Smith, 81, of Logansport, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Chapel, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Matt Comer. Interment will follow at Smith Hill Cemetery, Logansport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from noon until time of service at the chapel.
Carl was born January 1, 1942, in Logansport, Louisiana to Jesse and Christine Smith and entered into rest on Friday, December 15, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Preceding Carl in death was his wife, Mary E. Smith; his parents; his daughter, Suzi D. Runnels; and three siblings. Left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Karla Stratton and husband, Thomas and Lisa Ham and husband, Ken; two siblings; one granddaughter, Stephanie; eight grandsons, and 29 great grandchildren.
Honoring Carl as pallbearers will be Stoney Runnels, Dusty Watson, Justin Runnels, Matt Watson, Nick Ham, Ryan Miller, Michael Ham, and Shelby Runnels. Honorary pallbearers will be Levi McCormick, Cayson Ham, and Gabriel Cruse.
