Carl "Sparky" Stierheim and his wife, Marie were very dear friends of my family. After "Sparky" retired, he and Marie were very active in their church. Sparky also was a projectionist at the Vassar Theater. No one was more capable of handling the old carbon burning filaments that "Sparky" He even gave me a lesson. He had the reels timed just right to switch over without a hitch in the movie.

Rest in Peace, Sparky and Marie. I'm sure you have made yourselves worthy of any new assignments that would development. Missing you with fond memories.

As a child, I lived next door to Spark on Water Street. I remember him as a kind and gentle soul who was ready with a smile that always shone from his eyes at the children who played between our two back yards. The Stierheims knew me as Christie Lambert.

"Sparky" was just a very unique man. Multi-talented, from running the projector at the Vassar Theatre to fixing old radios. His love of electronics gave him his nickname. What wonderful friends he & Marie (his wife) were to my family. May God grant him many years of eternal peace with his beautiful wife, Marie. Thank you for the honor of knowing you both!
