Carl B. White

On Wednesday December 17, 2008, God sent angels to escort Carl B. White in to glory. This year Carl will celebrate Christmas with the guest of honor. He was preceded in death by his father, George White, who died when Carl was a child, his mother Ruby Michaels White Watts, stepfather, Wilson Watts and his sister, Angell Glunt. Carl Faithfully attended the Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church, had been an employee of the Morganton Post Office for 32 years as a mail carrier and was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps. Heaven is now a richer place and this earth has lost a great husband, father, grandfather and man of God. Surviving is his wife, Sonya Cobb White of the home, two sons, Shawn White and wife Misty, Zachary White and wife Crystal all of Morganton, a daughter, Tiffany White of the home, step-son Irron Hudson and wife Lisa, step-daughter, Sarina Minton and husband Larry all of Morganton, a brother, Grier White and wife Joyce of Texas, two sisters, Janice Duckworth of Morganton and Hilda Morton and husband Riley of Georgia. Also surviving are nine grandchildren. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 7:00 P.M. Saturday December 20, 2008 at the Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Keith Gilliam and Rev. David Crisp officiating. Memorials may be made to Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1890 Connelly Springs Rd., Lenoir, NC 28645.
