Dearest Carl: George & I have attached an invisible string from our hearts to yours; as that string can never be broken. We grew from friends to family in time; and that time was not near long enough. We had just agreed to another lunch date; but sadly God decided it was his time. As we wipe away the tears; we stand proud to salute you for the true soldier you were throughout your lifetime. A true commander in every rank of your life. A compassionate gentleman who served his fellow men & women at every rank. You are truly a hero; Carl; and we´ve been so blessed to have known you. Carl you will always be a great man to me even though I was only your pool guy. You impressed me greatly. You will be missed. I never had a grandfather, but you were the closest thing to a grandfather!!
