Funeral services for Carl William, 74, Maintenance Technician, will be Friday June 13, 2025 in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel. Serving as Pall Bearers will be Anthony Wilson, Ryan Davis, Brad Littleton, William Caviness, Charley Johnson, and Toy Thilges. Interment will follow in the Hendricks Cemetery under the care of Green country Funeral Home.

Carl William Wilson was born May, 22 1951 to Claud and Ella Wilson in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Carl was the youngest of eleven children. He was preceded in death by brothers Benjamin, Boyd, Earl, Tom and Evert "Bucky" Wilson and sister Flora Mae Drywater. He is survived by brothers Richard and Claudie Wilson and sisters Mamie Pugh and Mary Green. He attended school at Wolf Springs and Tahlequah High School, moving his senior year and graduating from Newton High School in Newton, Kansas.

On August 11, 1975 he married the love of his life Doris Ann Caviness. Carl preceded her in death on June 9, 2025 two months shy of their 50th anniversary. He has passed from this life before her, but he has never left her. She was the center of his world and the lens through which all of life was seen. Together they have two children: Anthony Carl Wilson and wife Julie Thrasher-Wilson and Desiree Nicole Wilson-Davis and husband Ryan Davis. Carl was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Merida Grace Davis. He is survived by the four lights of his life, grandsons: Reid Azlan Davis and Oliver Liam Davis; and granddaughters: Eleanor Fawkes Davis and Fiona Elise Davis.

Carl worked in construction and as a maintenance technician. He built buildings all over the United States and repaired and remodeled hundreds of homes in the Tahlequah area.

Carl epitomized devotion to his family. He was always there for his children no matter what small or large. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He often said if he knew how much fun grandkids were going to be he would have had them first. He was loved and will be deeply missed for the rest of our time. You have passed from this earth, but never from our hearts.
