Carl Wintersteller

(Carl) Jeffrey Wintersteller, age 81, passed away on Thursday January 8, 2026 at the Ashford of Grove City with his children by his side. Born April 11, 1944 in Cleveland, OH, he was a long-time resident of Dublin, OH. Jeff was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and later Miami University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and received his Bachelor of Science, in Business Administration. Jeffs career was in the employee benefits arena where he worked in several roles from regional sales manager to VP of sales. He also served on the board of directors for Vision Service Plan. Jeff was a summer resident of Middle Bass Island where he spent over 20 of his best years. He loved the islanders and the island lifestyle. Jeff was an avid sports enthusiast. He had a competitive nature and if you proved to be a good opponent – Jeff made you a friend. He loved sailing, snow skiing, racquetball, softball, golf and basketball.

Proceeded in death by parents, Carl and Jean Wintersteller, sister, Peggy Yonce. Survived by children, J.J. Wintersteller, Edward Wintersteller and Jeannie (Shane) Conley. Grandchildren, Jared Conley, Kelly Conley, Drew Wintersteller and Allison Wintersteller, Niece Susan (Bob) Centa and nephews Jimmy Hennen and Jeff Hennen, friend and mother of his children, Kathie Eckle. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME of HILLIARD, 5471 Frazell Rd., Tuesday, January 13 from1-4pm where service will follow at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jeffs name to Capital City Hospice.
