Carla Ann Campbell

Carla Campbell, 58, of Abilene, passed away on October 11, 2025, in Abilene.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, from 2-4 PM at The Hamil Family Funeral Home in Abilene. Funeral services will immediately follow from 4-5 PM, with Dr. Larry Fitzgerald officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Carla was born in New Castle, IN, to Patricia and John "Homer" Ziglar on February 25, 1967. She went to school in New Castle. She graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School. She married Kim Campbell on March 30, 1985, in New Castle, IN. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 15+ years in the surrounding Abilene area.

Carla was preceded in death by Vivian Anderson (grandmother), Patricia Ziglar (mother), (aunts) Nellie Short and Kathryn Price (nephew) Cole Phelps.

Carla is survived by her husband Kim Campbell, daughter Ashley Humecky and husband Michael Humecky, sisters Cindy Ziglar and Christy Caudill and husband Brad Caudill, and father John "Homer" Ziglar, granddaughter Kaylee Humecky, mother-in-law Kathy Campbell, brother-in-law Robert Campbell and wife April, sisters-in-law Deborah Mathis and Shannon Campbell, nieces and nephews Dustin Haas, Jessica Ziglar and family, Kelly-Jo Zigler, Josh Carrinder, Joe Shroeder and family, Kasey Boner and family, Jeffrey Mathis and family, BK Campbell and family, and Corey Campbell and family, PJ McFarland and family.

The family of Carla wishes to extend our sincere thanks to The Hamil Family Funeral Home for all the help in this trying time.
