Carla Kenney

Carla Marie (Ferber) Kenney of Rochester, lost her battle with cancer on July 30, 2022 at Seasons Hospice House surrounded by family & friends.

Carla was born February 13, 1955 in Rochester, MN to Richard "Dick" and Mary Carolita "Keda" (Tingley) Ferber. Carla was a 1973 graduate of John Marshall High School and retired from the Mayo Clinic after 30 years holding several positions during her time at Mayo. She worked at the Dairy Queen on Broadway for several years.

She married Tom Spratte on August 17, 1974, they had 3 boys together and later divorced. She then married Doug Kenney on April 26, 1997, they later divorced and remained good friends.

With a love for travel, Carla enjoyed many motorcycle rides, trips to Mexico and Texas, and also visited various places with her special friend Gary. She loved spending time with her family, grandkids, and friends.

Carla is survived by her 3 boys, Jeremy (Amanda) Spratte of Spring Valley, Cory Spratte (Jess Meyer) of Rochester, and Michael (Fenny) Spratte of Rochester; brother, Dave Ferber (Laurel Clement) of Texas; sister, Patti (John) Hunnicutt of Texas; brother-in-law, Rick Sherwood of Spring Valley; grandchildren, Nicholas Spratte, Kadi Spratte, Aiden Spratte, Logan Spratte, Colton Spratte, and Xinyan He; various nieces and nephews; and special friend, Gary Christopherson.

Carla was preceded in death by her father, Dick Ferber; mother, Keda Arnold; and sister, Kay (Ferber) Sherwood.

A celebration of life will be at Rochester Cremation Services located at 1605 Civic Center Drive NW, Rochester, MN 55901 from 2-5pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022.
