Carla Marie Sorber, 74 of Loyalville, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral arrangements are pending from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.

I thought of Carla today and was reminiscing about how we met and became friends back in the 70's and after a search on Google I came across her obituary. Carla and I met while working at RCA in Mountaintop, Pa. She always had a good word, a smile and a laugh that would light up your day. One of her favorite tunes was Maggie May and when I found out she named her daughter Maggie May, I thought that's so Carla. I remember she, her brother Ronnie, Kirk and I drove to Florida for spring break in a VW Beetle. I called her about 6 or 7 years ago and she told me how happy she was and how much she loved her husband Ron and her family. I know how much they all are missing her. My sincerest condolences to Ron, her children, her grandchildren and all who had the blessed opportunity to have known Carla.
