Ms. Carlen Lee Ward was born on June 6, 1956 in Hertford County, NC to the late Thurman Gray Ward Sr. and Ivia Lee Credle Ward. On April 13, 2025, Ms. Ward was called home to be with the Lord.
Ms. Ward graduated from West Craven High School class of 1975. She later worked at Sampson Shirt Factory and National Spinning Company for many years until her retirement.
In her leisure time, Ms. Ward had a nurturing spirit and took great pride in her flowers, plants and garden. She also had a love for being a seamstress, interior designs and home decor. She joined West 9th Street Church of God which later became Cornerstone Family Worship Center. She was a servant of heart and was a member of the choir, Sunday school teacher, served on the usher board and decorating committee.
