PITTSBURG – Carlene C. Prehemo, 76, of Pittsburg, died on Sunday, March 24, 2024, with family by her side, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, N.H., following a period of declining health.
She was born in West Stewartstown on March 20, 1948, the youngest child of Merton V. and Irene (Hann) Straw. She attended school in Pittsburg and was a graduate with the Class of 1967. That same year, she had married Robert Prehemo, but he was drafted in to the military and returned home in 1969.
Carlene was a housekeeper for several local establishments in the Pittsburg area, including for Tall Timbers on Back Lake. She was a very private person who loved to be at home, and her family was everything to her. She loved time spent with her children and grandchildren. She also loved flowers, watching the birds, and taking rides around the lakes.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Prehemo, of Pittsburg; a daughter, Gina Prehemo and her fiancé, Michael Harding, of Colebrook; and her son, Dana Prehemo and his wife, Amy, of Sheridan, Wyo.; three grandchildren, Sierra Saari, Robert D. Prehemo and Brielle Prehemo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carlene was predeceased by her four siblings, Roland Straw, Barbara Howe, Janice Judd, and Bernard Straw.
All services will be private.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Mrs. Prehemo to the Two Rivers Relief for Cancer, P.O. Box 376, Colebrook, NH 03576.
