Carletta Jean Cayton, 85, departed this life Friday, September 26, 2025 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV.
Daughter of the late Carl and Vivian Dotson, Carletta was born December 12, 1939 in Silver Run, WV. She graduated from Cairo High School and later married Donald Cayton, having shared 43 wonderful years of marriage.
Carletta enjoyed music and taught herself to play the piano and several other instruments. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carletta was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cayton, and sister, Rosalie Verbeten.
Carletta is survived by her son, Michael Cayton; daughter, Donna Ferrebee; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and sister, Beverley Webber.
A private cremation will take place and a small family gathering will be announced at a later time.
Vaughan Kimes is honored to serve the Cayton family.
