Please accept my most sincere condolences on the passing of your dear husband, Carlo.
You and your family are in my prayers during this difficult time.
As your former Italian student, I can recall very fond memories, as you would speak of your husband and children frequently.

My dear Mrs. Panfilo,
I know there are no words to ease the pain of losing such a wonderful man. From the time I was a teen, to the last time we spoke, Carlo always made me feel welcome and part of your extended family. I will never forget his kind smile.
