Carlos James, son to Andre D. Lewis and Shervetta D. Gilbert-Lewis, began his earthly journey on Monday, July 3, 1989, in Germany.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Kenwood Baptist Church where he loved participating in church activities and skits.
Carlos received his education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and he was a 2008 graduate of Northwest High School. He enjoyed employment with the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky as a member of the custodial staff. He was a member of Tennessee Rehabilitation Center in Smyrna, TN.
Carlos loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed singing, socializing, and watching wrestling. He showed his competitive side when he was playing baseball, basketball and bowling with the Buddy Ball organization. He touched many lives with his kindness and cheerful spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and brought joy to those around him with his infectious laughter. His presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
On Saturday, January 10, 2026, Carlos departed this life to be with the Lord.
Left to cherish precious memories are his parents: Andre D. Lewis and Shervetta D. Lewis; brother, Andre D. Lewis, II; sister, Eboni L. Lewis West, all of Clarksville, TN; nieces; Kiah Nicole West, Kiana Mishelle West; nephew; Uriah Jace Lewis; aunt, Terri Tomlinson; uncles: Kevin Lewis and Shawn Lewis and a host of other relatives and friends
