Carlos Martinez Jr.

Carlos Martinez, Jr.,52, of Hale Center, passed away on August 5, 2016. A Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Hale Center. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father John Smith as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery. Carlos was born on July 10, 1964 in Abernathy to Carlos Martinez, Sr. and Teresa (Balderas) Martinez. He worked for 25 years at the Cargill Meat Plant. He enjoyed bike riding and hanging out with all his biker friends. Although he never owned one, he was a huge fan of Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He found fishing to be a relaxing pastime and he was always listening to music. He was a faithful Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed watching WWE. He loved his children and grandchildren and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Martinez, Sr. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Teresa Balderas; one son, Andrew Julian Martinez; three daughters, Amber Martinez, Vanna Martinez and Leah Marie Martinez; two brothers, Fermin Martinez and Ruben Martinez as well as two grandchildren. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Rosa Marie Ramirez. His family requests that in Carlos' honor, please wear any Harley Davidson gear that you may own to his funeral. He would have loved this gesture.
