Carlos Mireles

Carlos Javier Mireles, age 54, of Karnes City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born to Rosalio and Sylvia Mireles on March 26, 1971, in Burlington, Colorado.

Throughout his life, Carlos was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He dedicated himself wholeheartedly to his work, taking great pride in every project, he undertook. Outside of his career, he found joy in fishing, listening to music, especially Ozzy Osbourne and Megadeth. Also, he enjoyed sharing his love of cooking and barbecuing with others. Barbecuing was more than a hobby for Carlos; it was how he connected with family and friends. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, kind heart, and the warmth he brought to every gathering.

He is preceded in death by his father, Rosalio Mireles.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Lenore Salinas; children, Christa Mireles and Coy Martin; granddaughter, Henslee Grace Martin; Mother, Sylvia Mireles; siblings, Chuck, Jesus, Leonard, Fernando, Mathew, and Maria. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9th at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10th at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City.
