Carlos Nathaniel Sanchez, 22 years old of Elgin, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Nate was a vibrant soul whose warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew him. He brought an infectious joy and laughter into the lives of his loved ones, leaving behind cherished memories. He was born on March 2, 2003, in Austin, Texas, to Amy Torres and Carlos Sanchez Jr. Although he was born in Austin, he resided in Elgin, TX.
Nate loved the UT Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys, never missing a chance to play games with his boys, John Martin, Aaron, Jesse, Noah, and Lucas. His humor was contagious, always keeping everyone entertained with his quick wit and playful banter. Before venturing out on his own, we could always hear him yelling and talking trash until the early morning hours, his laughter echoing through the house. His kindness and loyalty to friends were evident in the way he treasured these bonds. We have full faith that both his humor and friendship continued to thrive when he moved into his and Ariel's home.
He worked at different places throughout his life, but his last employer was BWI Corporation. He loved working for them and appreciated the opportunities they gave him. He often talked about his boss, “Juan the real one,” and how Juan always had his back. We will forever be grateful to Juan for taking care of our son. As he grew within the company, his circle of friends grew as well, with many coworkers becoming more than colleagues.
He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Lupe, Great Grandmother Camilla, his Grandfather Carlos Sanchez Sr, his Uncle Manuel, and his cousin, who he referred to as his brother, Brandon Ruvalcaba, who left us earlier this year. It warms our hearts knowing that Nathan was greeted with welcoming open arms.
Nate is survived by his Momma Amy and Bonus-Dad Arthur Torres, his Dad Carlos, and Bonus-Ma', Michelle Sanchez; his brothers, Michael and Cody, and his sisters Sydney, Jaylynne, and Melody, and two nephews, Erick Jr and Elias Nathaniel Chavez. His Grandparents, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and his beloved girlfriend and love of his life, Ariel Vasquez, as well as their Fur-Baby son, "Lil' Co."
As we reflect on Nate's vibrant life, let us find comfort in his laughter and love that echo in our hearts. May his memory inspire us to carry forward his legacy of kindness and joy. Share a smile, offer a caring word, and remember to cherish every moment. Nate will forever be remembered, deeply loved, and greatly missed.
