Carlos Nathaniel Sanchez, 22 years old of Elgin, TX, died on Sept 9, 2025.
He was born on March 2, 2003, in Austin, TX, to Amy Torres and Carlos Sanchez Jr. He was born in Austin but resided in Elgin, TX.
Nate loved the UT Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to always be in the game with his boys. When he was younger and living at home, from his room, we could always hear him yelling at the game or trash-talking until early morning if you let him, so I know he was like that at home with Ariel and Coco. He worked at different places throughout his life, but his last Employer was BWI Corporation. He loved working for them and the many opportunities that they gave him. He always spoke fondly of his boss, “Juan the real one,” and how Juan had always had his back. We will forever be grateful to him for taking care of our son. He had other coworkers he got along with, and started to become close to his co-worker, Albert.
Nate is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lupe, his great-grandmother, Camilla, his Grandfather, Carlos Sanchez Sr, his Uncle, Manuel, and his cousin, whom he referred to as his brother, Brandon Ruvalcaba, who passed away in February of this year. We know they are waiting and welcoming Nathan with open arms.
Nate is survived by his Momma, Amy, and (bonus) Dad, Arthur Torres, and his Dad, Carlos, and (bonus) Ma’ Michael Sanchez Jr., along with his bonus Parents. His Best Friends for life and Brothers, Michael and Cody, and his Sisters, Sydney, Jaylynne, and Melody. His many Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and two Nephews, Erick Jr. and Elias Nathaniel Chavez, along with his beloved Girlfriend and love of his life, Ariel Vasquez, and their fur baby son, Lil Co.
A visitation will be held at Elgin Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, September 15th, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Christian Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Manor on Tuesday, September 16th, at 11:00 AM with Father Henry presiding. A Christian Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery of Bastrop.
