Obituary
Carlos Antonio Timmons was born on May 17, 1972 in Brooksville, Florida, to Diann Revell and Andrew Timmons. Carlos attended Hernando County public schools, graduating from Hernando Senior High in 1990. Carlos received his Bachelor degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1997. He also earned two Master degrees from American Intercontinental University in 2005.
Professionally, in his younger years, Carlos played football briefly for the Seattle Seahawks with the National Football League; Chicago Enforcers with the XFL; and, other semi-pro teams in Canada. Afterwards, Carlos worked at the United Parcel Service for almost twenty years. He also worked with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority for a short time. And, at the time of his transition, Carlos was self-employed in logistics as well as real estate.
In 2004, Carlos married Julia L. Campbell and this union was blessed with two beautiful daughters.
Carlos accepted Christ as his Savior earlier in life and worshipped in his latter years at Greater Fellowship Church of God in Christ as a faithful deacon.
Carlos was smart, lovable, and ambitious. He was delighted to coach youth football to influence the next generation of players. He enjoyed watching sports and action movies, working in the yard, in addition to traveling. Carlos was a numbers guru. He had a keen interest in investment strategies. Carlos always showed up for family and friends. He specifically enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, as well as other family and friends.
Carlos transitioned to eternal life on May 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Etta Hicks; and his maternal grandmother, Ruby Lee Revell.
Carlos leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Julia L. Campbell Timmons; his daughters, Carlie Alyse and Cassidy Alayna; his mother, Diann Revell Huggins; his brother, Andrew L. Timmons (Jennifer); his sister, Annie Timmons Capers (Darius); father-in-law, Daniel Campbell, Sr.; mother in-law, Maegoldie Campbell; his brothers-in-law, Daniel Campbell, Jr. (Lisa), David Campbell (Kimberly), and Darryl Campbell; his sisters-in-law, LaTonya Campbell Cobb, Danielle Campbell King (Angelo), and Dana Jacobs (Gerald); his uncles, Joseph Revell, Jeffrey Freeman, and Michael Revell (Lisa); nephews, William Hicks (Debra), Nathaniel Hicks (Vonda), James W. Our hearts are deeply saddened by the news. We built a friendship though our daughters playing softball together. May God comfort you all with His Mercy & Grace!

Every time Carlos came to his dental appointment our entire hour was focused on his girls. He shared wonderful stories of the girls and their softball games and training and cheerleading events. I was saddened to hear of his passing and am so sorry for the grief that his wife and girls must be dealing with. Prayers that wonderful family memories sustain you through this difficult time.

Playing on the Eastern Kentucky University football team together, was our bond of Brotherhood. It pained me to hear that Carlos has moved on. God Bless, to the Timmons Family.

Rest in Peace, my friend. We were friends/co-workers at UPS and later at Blue Streak. Friendly and funny, I always enjoyed my conversations with Big C. He was clearly raised right and I am sure his family and daughters are proud of the man he was. Spoke of his children often and through the sadness, I hope they are comforted by knowing others knew of his love for them. Those of us that knew him are better for it. You done good my friend. Peace.

My prayers and condolences are with the family. Carlos was good person and was my 1st Supervisor as a driver in the Metro. I am thankful for him giving me a chance and believing in me. We use to joke with each other and go back and forth because he a competitive nature and so did I. But May God be with the family. Carlos was good Supervisor and will always be. Have plenty of stories of how we use to joke. God bless the family and always know Carlos was good person and had a good heart.

To a nice guy and family man, often talked about our daughters and shared a common bond as fathers. I know you raised them the right way and your memory will live on through them. Sending prayers to your family

My condolences to the family; especially the mother. Diann, I pray our Lord, God, and Savior will strengthen you and carry you and hold you close to His heart. He loves you and He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. I remembered when both boys were born and the love and excitement you had - especially with Carlos; your very first!!!!! That love will continue. He has left a powerful legacy.
May God's Blessings, Peace, and Strength rest upon you,
Rosetta

Privileged to have served along side Carlos and then serve under him when he got promoted. He will be missed. He loved to eat and he loved to laugh...we spent many hours doing both. Prayers going out to the family.
