Carlton “Spar” Thompson, 76, of St. George, GA passed away peacefully with his children by his side on November 23, 2025. He was born January 18, 1949 to the late Bruce Thompson, Sr. and Mary Sikes Thompson. Spar was loved by all that knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Bruce Thompson, Billy Thompson, Jr. Gerald Thompson and Buck Thompson; 3-sisters: Inez Raulerson, Brunell Lackey and Vinona Crews.
He is survived by his brother: Dwight Thompson; sons: C.J. Thompson and Tony Thornton; a daughter: Selena Thompson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 26 at noon in Boones Creek Cemetery with Pastor Kyle Lloyd officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.
