Carlyn Lavern Clark

CLARK, CARLYN L. (Yorks) – of Burton, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, Michigan; Pastor Jim Jordan officiating. Private interment will take place at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM on Monday, March 30, 2026, and again on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service beginning at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care.

Carlyn was born on June 11, 1955, in Lapeer, Michigan, the daughter of Carl and Joanne (Carlson) Yorks, Sr. She was united in marriage to Paul James Walden in 1973, and later to William Gerald Moorhead in 1984. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Carlyn found great joy in staying active and embracing nature. She loved golfing, cycling, playing softball and disc golf, as well as camping and kayaking. Whether on the water, the course, or the trail, she was happiest surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors. Carlyn was also known for her determination and strong work ethic. While working at St. Joe's, she put herself through college and later began a successful career in 1986 as a laboratory worker at McLaren where she faithfully served for over 30 years. Carlyn will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her resilience, and the meaningful life she built through hard work and passion.

Carlyn is survived by children: Delynn Napier and Caleb Moorhead-Yorks; mother, Joanne Yorks; uncle, Gene Yorks; siblings: Carl (Tammy) Yorks, Mike (April) Yorks, Patricia (Jerry) Galvas, and Charles (Patti) Yorks; grandchildren: Joshua Montgomery, Jonathan Montgomery, Christine Montgomery, and Carleigh Walden; great grandchildren: Hadley Montgomery and Delilah Montgomery; also survived by many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by father, Carl Yorks, Sr., and aunts and uncles.
