Carmela M. Santomarco Pipitone, age 74 of Parlin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at JFK Hospital in Edison. Born in Brooklyn, she had lived in Parlin for the past 39 years. Before her retirement, Carmela worked as a pharmacy technician for over 30 years, most recently at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was active at the Sayreville Senior Center, enjoying her time there participating in their various activities. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, most especially her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Domenico, her loving children Paul Pipitone and his wife Joanne, Vivian Pipitone and her partner Matthew Metz, Priscilla Soares and her husband Adriano, her cherished grandchildren Kaitlyn and her fiancé Jesse, Samantha and her husband Maddux, Jake, Austin, Dylan, Damian, Arianna, and Kali, her great-grandson Tatum, her sister Lucille Weil, her brothers Angelo Santomarco, Vincent Santomarco, Joseph Santomarco and his wife Dina and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funereal Home 15 Cherry Lane in Parlin from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A prayer service will take place at 7:00pm that evening.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carmela's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.
