HASTING, CARMELINA VIRGINIA of Waterford, Michigan; Born June 26, 1940 in Pontiac, Michigan; passed away January 1, 2026 at the age of 85. Daughter of the late James and Elsie Felice; Wife of the late Kennith Hasting; Mother of Nancy Hasting-Copenhaver; Keith Hasting, Kip Hasting and the late Norma (Lloyd) Fay; Grandmother of Adrianna, Madesyn, Austin, Savannah, Gavyn, Dominic and Joshua; Great-grandmother of Benjamin; Sister of the late: Agnes, Emillina; Henry, George, Pauline and Jenny. Virginia enjoyed cooking for the entire family and taught anyone who wanted to learn how to make her favorite Italian specialties. Everyone looked forward to her cooking at family gatherings. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 80 S. Lynn Street, Waterford, MI 48328. Funeral luncheon to follow in the church hall. Rite of Committal 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at All Saints Cemetery, 4401 Nelsey Road, Waterford, MI 48329. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford and on Wednesday at the Church 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Rosary Tuesday 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or ASPCA.
