Carmelo Cordero Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Best Funeral Services Peoria on Feb. 6, 2026.
Carmelo Luis Cordero, known affectionately as Carmelo to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, in Peoria, Arizona. Born on October 8, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York, Carmelo was a man who lived his life with a deep sense of joy, love, and faith.

Carmelo spent over two decades as a dedicated Swing Stage Mechanic with Safway Scaffolding, where his hard work and expertise were well recognized. His commitment to his craft was paralleled only by his dedication to his family and his partner of 28 years, Annette. Together, they created a home filled with laughter and love, a sanctuary for all who entered.

A devout Christian, Carmelo's faith was the cornerstone of his existence. His belief in compassion and kindness guided him throughout his life and was evident in the way he interacted with those around him. His gentle spirit and unwavering faith were sources of comfort and inspiration to his family and friends.

Carmelo's passions extended beyond his work and faith. An avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys, he rarely missed a game and took great pleasure in the camaraderie and excitement that came with each season. His enthusiasm for his teams was infectious, and many fond memories were made cheering alongside him.

Family gatherings were especially dear to Carmelo. He reveled in the opportunity to be surrounded by his loved ones, to share stories, and to create new memories. His voice often filled the room as he sang with a joy that resonated in the hearts of all who heard him. Carmelo's sense of humor was legendary; he had a joke for every occasion and a knack for making people laugh even on their darkest days.

Above all, Carmelo was an amazing father and an awesome Tata. His children and grandchildren were the pride of his life, and there was nothing he wouldn't do for them. His guidance and love shaped their lives, and his legacy will live on through the lessons he imparted and the memories they cherish.

Carmelo's departure leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit remains a beacon of light for all who were fortunate enough to know him. His laughter, his kindness, and his unwavering love will be deeply missed, yet forever remembered.

As we bid farewell to Carmelo Luis Cordero, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a soul at peace. May he rest in the glory of the Lord he so passionately believed in, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
