Carmen Moore, 54, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, November 29th, 2025, surrounded by the family who loved her endlessly.
Carmen was a devoted mother, cherished “Lollie,” loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She lived her life with a heart wide open—serving, uplifting, and fighting for the people who needed someone in their corner. Through her work in social services, her dedication to helping women rebuild their lives, her fundraising for the new Sunshine School, and her passion for giving second chances, Carmen touched more lives than she ever realized.
To her family, she was their joy, their strength, and the light in every room. Her greatest pride was being “Lollie” to her grandson, Everett, who brought her more happiness than words could ever capture.
Carmen is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Marcus Moore; her daughter, Victoria “Paige” (Drew) Lawrence; her grandson, Everett Lawrence; her two sisters, Michelle Miles and Cindy Backovsky; her father-in-law, Jacky Moore; her mother-in-law, Sylvia Moore; her sister-in-law, Jill Graham; and her brother-in-law, Michael Moore. She also leaves behind a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her father, William Backovsky; her mother, Eneida Castro; her stepmother, Lorelei Patterson; her stepfather, Vern Dimond; her paternal grandparents, John Backovsky and Mae Backovsky; her maternal grandparents, Miguel Castro and Carmen Castro; her two angel grandbabies; her aunt, Mariann Bittle; and her beautiful niece, Jaciee Graham.
