Carmen Claywell Obituary

Visit the Tribute Funeral Home - Greenville website to view the full obituary.

With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce that Carmen Kay Claywell, 57, of Greenville, Ohio, was called home to heaven on Monday, March 30, 2026, at The Laurels of Huber Heights Nursing Home. Before her passing, Carmen made all things right with God, placing her trust in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We rejoice in knowing she now rests in His eternal peace.

Carmen was born on March 20, 1969, in Union City, Indiana, to the late Carl Robison and Sandra (Oswalt) Robison. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father, Pete Vasquez, and her brother, Tony Robison.

She is survived by her loving mother, Sandra Robison; her devoted sons, Jason Claywell and Collin Claywell; and her cherished grandchildren, Jalen, Killian, and Larkyn Claywell, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Jennifer Milligan and Navada Clack (Ron); her brothers, Pete Vasquez Jr. and Aaron Vasquez; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Carmen graduated from Ansonia High School in 1987. She spent her career caring for others as a caregiver at Wayne Industries and Brookdale Nursing Home. Her work was more than a job—it was a calling. She served with a selfless heart, offering compassion, patience, and dignity to every person she cared for. Her gentle spirit reflected the love of Christ in quiet but powerful ways.

She found great joy in attending her grandchildren’s ball games, celebrating every moment she could with her family. Carmen loved deeply, gave freely, and always put others before herself. She was known for her big heart, her kind soul, and her unwavering willingness to help anyone in need.

One of her sweetest daily joys was spoiling her beloved dog, Tequila, who brought her comfort, laughter, and companionship. The way she cared for Tequila mirrored the way she cared for everyone—tenderly, faithfully, and with endless love.

Carmen was a member of Union City Community Fellowship Church, where her faith continued to grow. She believed in God’s promises and held tightly to His Word. As Psalm 73:26 reminds us, “God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now whole, restored, and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on within us—in the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the memories we will forever carry. We look forward with hope to the day we will be reunited in God’s perfect time.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tribute Funeral Homes to help offset expenses.
