Carmen Elizabeth Dais (nee Mueller) age 101, of West Bend, Wisconsin, went home to the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Carmen was born on July 26, 1924, in the Town of Hartford to Helen (nee Thorn) and Peter A. Mueller.
She was united in marriage to Jerome Dais on November 9, 1946, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Lawrence.
Carmen loved playing bingo, cards, reading and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed playing Hand and Foot with her condo friends.
Carmen is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerome, of 54 years, her siblings and their spouses, Alvin (Emily/Martha), Elmer (Blanche), Clarence (Adeline), and Fritz (Patricia/Dolores) Mueller, Ruth (don) Striegel, Anita (Edmund) Hartman, Eleanore (Clarence) Bingham, Marion (Robert) Kiefer, and Joyce (Ambrose) Wiedmeyer. Geneva (Howard) Dukelow, Eugene (Florence) Dais, and seven nieces/nephews also predeceased her.
Carmen was a lifetime member of Hartford Senior Friends and a member of Catholic Knights, Branch 279 of Hartford. She grew up as a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Parish where she served as a Branch Treasurer for ten years.
After marriage to Jerome, she became a member of St. Kilian Catholic Parish. Carmen worked at the Natural Casing Company for 30 years and at Central Drug store for three years.
Carmen volunteered at St. Killian's Parish events, drove for the Red Cross for 30 years, as well as for Interfaith of Washington County for ten years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at St. Kilian Catholic Church (264 W State St., Hartford, WI 53027). Family will greet relatives and friends at 9:00 a.m. until the start of service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Kilian Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made payable to American Red Cross (PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037) or Interfaith of Washington County (2374A W Washington St., West Bend, WI 53095).
