I delivered the Free Press to Dr & Mrs Dente's home on Elsom Parkway in Mayfair Park for several years in the mid 1960s, and still remember both of them for their many kindnesses. I'm very sorry to read of Mrs Dente's passing. Condolences to the family.

To All of Carmen (and Gino's) family members;
I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with them in both Vermont and Florida. As they were among my parents' closest friends over the years, I find myself flooded with wonderful memories from the times when I was very young and visited them when they lived on Home Avenue to my charming visit with Carmen about 10 days ago. She maintained her sense of humor even then as she questioned my bringing her roses: "what do you think I'm doing....dying?" We chuckled together and talked of flowers and warm summer days. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to spend time with her recently.
You all are to be commended for the support and warm, loving care you were able to provide in the comfort of her home. God Bless you all!

I had the pleasure of meeting Carmen and Gino while working for Armistead. I enjoyed my many morning "Tea's" with Carmen. I was sent there to help Carmen with day to day chores, but what I got out of it was way more than I could give. Gino sat in his chair reading while I puttered around him and he would crack jokes. Carmen would take me down stairs and show me where they spent many nights entertaining and having grand parties. I will loved how she would say, "Thanks Doll". She was a blessing. GOD SPEED Carmen...may Gino's loving arms hold you tight now.

Sincere sympathies to the extended family of Carmen Dente.

The Dentes warmly welcomed our family to Elsom Parkway in 1977 when our three sons were teenagers. How we worried that boisterous boys would annoy our across-the-street neighbors. Not so! Carmen and Gino accepted our noisy sons with their "kid" cars, and soon were fast friends! For the next twenty three years, the Weaver's were privileged to know and love both Carmen and Gino, who were such a positive influence on all of us. Rest well Carmen, now that you and Gino are together again.

Carmen and Gino were one of the first to own a TV on Elsom Parkway and their cellar was our home away from home....just two doors away. Carmen hand selected clothes from the store for Mom, who excitedly opened the boxes when they arrived, confident in Carmen's good taste. Carmen's sense of fashion, elegance and beauty was always present. Visiting her shortly before her death, she still was that lady. We parted promising each other we would go out to lunch soon. Always part of Kuhlmann family events, Carmen will be greatly missed by Darwin and I. We extend our sympathy to the family and her loving caregivers.

My deep condolences to Louann and George, Chuck and Betty Anne and Jimmy Cerasoli along with the entire family at this time. I met Chichi and Gino over 50 years ago and was struck by their kindness and genuine warmth to everyone they came in contact with. Chichi carried on the couple's caring and sweet nature after her husband's passing. She leaves an outstanding legacy of top-shelf class to all of her family and friends.

Among my earliest childhood memories are visits with Carmen and Gino Dente, dear friends of my parents. Gino, always dapper, and Carmen, the most elegant lady I knew, were sweet, kind and fun. While most of their generation has passed on, the memories remain. Condolences to the Dente family.

A truly lovely, elegant lady, with a beautiful smile, originally from the Lavin's and their home at the corner of Park and Averill Streets in Barre, has passed, but will be remembered forever. The owner of the Town Shop in Barre for many years, she never forgot where she came from, after her marriage to Dr. Gino Dente and moving to South Burlington. She loved her nephews and nieces very much, and has been the matriarch of the family for many years. My sympathy to all.
