Carmen Figueroa, 88, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on January 22, 2026. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, in 1938, Carmen eventually moved to Queens, New York, before settling in Florida. Despite facing profound personal loss throughout her life, she remained a pillar of strength and resilience for her family.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; her love was the foundation upon which her family was built. She is survived by her daughter, Madeline Rojas, son-in-law Ernest Rojas, her grandchildren, Freddy Rodriguez and Jasmine Rojas; great-grandchild, Destiny Rodriguez; sister, Ruth Russell; and niece, Michelle Janicek. Her legacy of love and endurance will remain in our hearts forever.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2026, at SCOBEE-COMBS-BOWDEN FUNERAL HOME. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. Committal Services and burial will follow at Boynton Beach Memorial Park, where Carmen will be laid to rest with her beloved Hector, who preceded her in death in 2000.
