Carmen Iris Rodriguez

Carmen Iris Rodriguez, 77, passed away on February 25th 2025 in Farmington, Connecticut. She was born on December 14th, 1947 in Naranjito, Puerto Rico, she carried a deep love for her family and a strong sense of dedication throughout her Iife.
Carmen was a devoted wife to Daniel Rodriguez for 56 years and and a loving mother to her son Derik Rodriguez and his wife, Judith Rodriguez, as well as her daughter Doreen Rodriguez. She cherished her grandchildren: Daniel Rodriguez and his wife Kristen Rodriguez, along with their son Julian Daniel Rodriguez; Marcos and Destiny Rodriguez; Derik Jaden Rodriguez; Devin Rodriguez; and Alexis Melendez. Her family extended beyond immediate relatives to include many nieces.Nephews, cousins and dear
friends, whom she loved deeply. She is also survived by her siblings.
Raymond Figueroa and his wife Luz Estelle Figueroa and Hilda Luz Figueroa of Puerto Rico, as well as Nereida Otero and her husband Michael Otero from Florida.
She was preceded by her parents, Ramon Figueroa and Carmen Cordero, as well as her brothers Felix Figueroa, Angel Wito Marrero, and Juan Casey Figueroa.
Carmen, dedicated many years of service
to the State of Connecticuts Workers Compensation Commission in the New Britain district before retiring. She found joy in the warmth of the summer days and had a passion for visiting tag sales. Above all else, she was an unwaving advocate for her family. She loved spending time with them traveling together on vacations and creating lasting memories.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, from 5PM to 8PM at the Shaker-Hill Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025 at 10 AM. in St. Mary's Church, 544 Main Street, New Britain. Burial will be held at a later date in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
