Carol June Abraham, 79, passed away on January 18, 2025.

Carol was born on November 6, 1946, in New Castle, Indiana, to Anson Riley and Isabelle Schmidt. She became a registered nurse in 1969 and later worked at Wishard Memorial Hospital, where she was among the first nurses to care directly for patients with HIV and AIDS.

She had many pets over the years, especially birds and dogs, and held a special affection for her dog, Robin Lucas. She enjoyed gardening, spending time in nature, watching sports, following the news, and coloring detailed designs.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Abraham. She is survived by her cousins, Mark and Allen Schmidt, and is also fondly remembered by her family in friendship, Juan Munoz, Adilene Torres, and their three daughters, Eliana, Bianka, and Monica Munoz.

Carol will be remembered for her compassion as a nurse, her love of animals, and the warmth and humor she shared with those closest to her.Services for Carol will be heald Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 2:00 pm at St. George Orthodox Christian Church, 10748 E 116th St, Fishers, IN 46037
