Carol Ann (Dunn) Allen, 71, of Victory, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at her home after a long illness.
Carol was born on August 1, 1954, in St. Johnsbury to Lyman & Annabelle (Ewens) Dunn, Sr. She attended Lyndon Institute, graduating with the Class of 1972 before working at various places, including Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH).
Carol was a person of many talents who enjoyed what life had to offer. She enjoyed camping, knitting, crocheting, and crafts of all types. With her parents and her partner, James Sanborn, she performed a working demo of pump log boring at the Tunbridge Fair. Above all, Carol will be remembered for her love of her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Carol is survived be her children Daniel S. Allen of Morgan & Neal H. (Ashley) Allen III of Lyndonville, their father Neal H. Allen, Jr of Morgan; her siblings Carl C. (Shari) Dunn of Littleton, NH & Eileen D. (Brian) Lampman of Fairfield; grandchildren Deakin Allen of Lancaster, NH and Hailey, Kianna, & Karson Allen of Lyndonville; as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Lyman S. Dunn, Sr in 2009 & Annabelle R. Dunn in 2009; her life partner James Sanborn in 2016; and her siblings Lysle S. Dunn in 2015 & Lyman S. Dunn, Jr. in 2023.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer.
