Carol Ann Becker, age 80, of Utica, South Dakota, died Friday, February 2, 2024, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at St. Agnes Sigel Catholic Church in rural Utica, South Dakota, with Reverend Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Sigel Cemetery in rural Utica. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota, with a rosary and vigil service at 7:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Carol Ann Becker was born January 27, 1944, to Mark and Bernice (Breece) Robinette in Winnebago, Nebraska. She grew up in the Niobrara, Nebraska area and attended Marty Indian School. She married Maurice Becker on July 16, 1966 and they lived in the Northeast Nebraska area for a few years. Maurice and Carol Ann then purchased a farm in the Utica, South Dakota area, where Carol Ann took great pride in raising her family and working on the farm.
Carol Ann was a strong willed faithful woman who never met a stranger. She loved visiting with anyone she could, not matter where she was. She enjoyed cooking and baking and collecting chickens. She was a mother to all and welcomed everyone into her home. She loved her family and would often make trips to Nebraska to visit them on Sundays.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice Becker of Yankton; five children: Dean Becker of Yankton; Doyle (Carolyn) Becker of Yankton; Dawn Becker of Yankton; DeAnn Becker of Yankton, and David (Tessa Myers) Becker of Utica; 10 grandchildren: Dylan (Kourtney), Connar, Brenna, Gage, Iyana, Zane, Cole, Brock, Ty and Ashtin; twin great grandchildren: Beckett and Lainey; four brothers and sisters: Donny Robinette, Rick (Joan) Robinette, Linda (Doug) Bolte, and Markeetta Reynolds and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dale; daughter-in-law, Rhonda; granddaughter, Corrine and 15 brothers and sisters.
