Carol A. Behning

Carol Ann Behning, 63, of Elk Point, SD passed away peacefully at Wel-Life Assisted Living.
Carol was born to George Behning Sr., and Ann Behning, in Bensenville Illinois on July 20th, 1962. She was the fourth of 5 children. She lived in the Chicagoland area until moving to South Dakota in 2024 to be near her daughter.
Throughout her life, Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved watching her nieces and nephews hit milestones and grow their families. Her greatest joy was her only child, Nicole. She enjoyed crafts and shopping and visits from her 'grand dogs'. Carol had jokes for everyone and could lighten the mood on even the toughest day.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nicole and son-in-law, Alex; her sister, Christine and brother George. Nieces; Saydi, Jordan, and Robin along with their children, her nephew, Devin and his children, as well as her 'favorite niece' Faith; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Ann; father, George; brothers, Ronald and Robert; her grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to those who cared for her at Wel-Life and always treated her like family. Abiding her wishes, the body was cremated and no services are planned. Carol will be taken home to Illinois to be laid to rest with her parents and brothers at a later time.
