Carol was born on October 28, 1946, in Loup City, Neb., the daughter of Matt and Mary (Baker) Woitalewicz. She grew up in Loup City and graduated from Loup City High School.
On November 28, 1964, Carol married Larry Paul Bonczynski. Together, they made their home in Ravenna, where they raised their family until Larry's passing in 1992. Carol later found love again and married Bryan Hall in June of 1995. The couple continued to reside in Ravenna.
Carol worked many jobs throughout her life, but the one she cherished most was her 35 years of service at the Ravenna Good Samaritan Center, where she made lasting connections and touched many lives before retiring.
Carol had a vibrant spirit and many passions. She was known for her beautifully decorated cakes, love of flowers and plants, canning, playing pitch, and dancing to polka music. She was an avid fan of Husker football and volleyball. She especially looked forward to camping, Halloween was her favorite time to go. Carol had a deep love for decorating, always making every season and celebration feel special. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to take them to movies and sharing those simple, special moments.
Above all, Carol loved her family. Her faith and her family were the center of her life. She never met a stranger; she had the gift of conversation and never walked away without learning your whole story. She was a proud and faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Ravenna.
Carol is survived by her devoted husband, Bryan Hall; her daughter and son-in-law, Carrie (Rick) Douglas; stepsons, Mark (Lisa) Hall and Chad Hall; her beloved grandchildren, Tara (Donald) Schutt, Michael (Katie) Douglas, Trisha (Keith) Bock, Brett (Kirstin) Douglas, Tyler (Abigail) Douglas, and Britta (Jess) Andreasen; step-grandchildren, Maddie Hall and Avery Hall; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Janet Woitalewicz and Cindy Bonczynski; and extended in-laws, Rory (Tammy) Hall and Gayle (Henry) Zach.
Carol was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Bonczynski; her sons, Marty Bonczynski and Terry "Butch" Bonczynski; her great-grandson, Kollin Bonczynski; step-great-granddaughter, Ellie Rose Suchanek; her parents, Matt and Mary Woitalewicz; her siblings, Mary Frances Woitalewicz, Renee (Ralph) Wardyn, Melvin Woitalewicz, and Richard (Irene) Woitalewicz; and brother-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Bonczynski.
Carol's warmth, laughter, and love will live on in hearts of all who knew her.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
