Carol Aiola Bordelon, 78, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Sunday July 6, 2025, after a long battle with chronic kidney disease. Mrs. Bordelon was a native of New Orleans where she resided her entire life. She retired from Jacob Schoen & Son, where she spent numerous years doing what she loved: helping people. Carol was an avid animal lover and bingo player who was known for not only watching her many cards, but everyone else's around her as well. She also loved cooking for neighbors, friends, and family, especially her grandson during his after-school visits. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Aiola, brother Anthony Aiola, sisters Rose Aiola Braquet Gowland and Marguerite Aiola Bordelon. Survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Bordelon of New Orleans, daughter Tina Bordelon Gould (George) and grandson Leyton Gould, both of Harahan, sister Sylvia Aiola Ingram of Chalmette, sister-in-law Cathy Bordelon of Folsom along with countless nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25th from 1:00 to 3:00pm with a catholic service to follow from 3:00 to 3:30 at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St, New Orleans.
