Obituary of Carol Brozek

Carol A. Brozek (nee Farkas)

March 22, 1943 - December 9, 2025

Carol A. Brozek, age 82 of Brownstown.

Devoted wife of 59 years to Gary Brozek, loving mother to Todd (Monica) Brozek, Renee Brozek (Christopher SanCraint). Proud grandmother to Justine (Christopher) Vallade, Erin (Kenneth Jr.) Drange, Ryan T. (Payton) Brozek and Ryan S. Brozek. Also survived by her extended family and many dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Alfred Farkas and her brothers, Alfred and Robert.

Carol Ann Brozek was born on March 22, 1943 to Anna and Alfred Farkas. She completed their family when she came into the world and joined her two older brothers.

We will remember our mother as a gifted cook and talented hairstylist who poured her heart into taking care of her home and the people in it. Whether you were in a chair getting a haircut or enjoying one of her many Hungarian dishes at home, she would always listen, encourage and try to get you to laugh.

In their golden years, Mom and Dad enjoyed camping trips and visits to the casino. She was the family's-unofficial-casino-gift-expert and somehow always came home with something new.

Mom always had a new project in mind and she was determined to see it through, whether Dad was on board or not.

When she would start a conversation with her familiar, "well….." we knew something prolific was coming.

When we were growing up, our mother was very involved with the Lutheran Church, which deepened the values, dedication and loyalty she instilled in her children. When she became a caregiver to her own mother, she did so with patience, strength, and love. Mom always showed love through her actions, honesty, and humor, and those close to her understood that perfectly.

Without question, being a grandmother brought her immense joy and she was very proud to watch the kids grow into the adults they are today.

Mom and Dad were just days away from celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary, an incredible milestone that reflected their lifelong devotion to one another.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
