Kay was born in Elmira, Missouri. She was active in her church and regularly attended Bible Study. She enjoyed lunch with friends, playing cards every Tuesday, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darold Bush; mother, Goldie (Scobee) Heavelow; father, William Heavelow; brothers, Larry Heavelow, Lonnie Heavelow, and Mark Heavelow; as well as her beautiful grandson, Spencer Bush.
Survivors include daughter, Lee Anne (Jeff) McDaniel of Valdosta, Georgia; daughter, Patti Evert of Boynton Beach, Florida; son, Wesley (Chrissy) Bush of Liberty, Missouri; grandchildren, Corey Bush, Haiden McDaniel, Ben McDaniel, Breanna Evert, Madison Maggard, Kevin Evert, Bella Bush, Tristan Tabaracci and Alex Tabaracci, as well as their respective families; and sisters, Marsha (Buford) Baker and Shelly Heavelow.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at Old Union Church in Lawson, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northcare Hospice, in North Kansas City.
Arrangements are in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Lawson.
