Carol Cernetic Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. - Renfrew/Connoquenessing Twp. on Dec. 13, 2025.
Carol L. Cernetic, age 81, of Mars, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at UPMC Passavant Hospital.
Born May 7, 1944, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Carl Llewellyn and Florence Jackson Giddings.
Carol was a volunteer with Girl Scouts as well as Head Start. She began her career in the mail department of Heinz, she then worked for Reymer's Blennd, where she was promoted to secretary. She was an excellent typist and was employed as one by Ketchem, Maclead and Grove. Finally, she spent a large part of her career as an office manager for the family business of Cernetic Construction Company and for Manorwood Homes.
In her free time, Carol enjoyed reading, cooking, and collecting Christmas ornaments. The family would host large gatherings for Christmas where you would win $50 if you found two of the same ornament on her tree. She was a true people person and was always willing to help her friends and neighbors. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Carol is survived by her husband, Albert F. Cernetic; her daughter, Patti (Rick) Householder, of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Austin Householder of Elizabeth City, NC, and Shayne Householder of Maiden, NC; and her brother, Carl Gidding, Jr.
Carol preferred to have a private cremation take place without a service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carol's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105, her favorite charity, or to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
Arrangements were entrusted to Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
