A memorial service for Carol Ann Musgrove Chorette will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Christ Episcopal Church with Father Whit Stodghill officiating at 11AM. A time for visitation with family will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday prior to the service.

Carol Chorette, age 76, of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, loyal friend, and a ray of sunshine to all who knew her.

With a call for healing, Carol graduated from Druid City Hospital School of Nursing in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was a Registered Nurse for 46 years working in the emergency room, recovery, and as a clinic nurse. Before retiring, Carol taught CNA's and PN's at Louisiana Delta Community College.

Carol was a devoted Mother and a cherished "GiGi" (grandmother). Her passions included traveling, listening to Elvis, watching LSU and Saints football, birdwatching, and her favorite pastime, shopping.

She is survived by her daughters, Zona Perry Lofaso and Leigh Perry Lumley; son, Tripp Chorette and his wife Miranda; grandchildren, Matthew Lofaso, Megan Lofaso, Zachary Lofaso, Ian Lumley, Adam Lumley, Blair Chorette, Annie Chorette and Maebry Chorette.

Carol is preceded in death by her spouse, Dr. Edward Chorette; daughter, Kristin Chorette; parents, Elmer and Lillie Musgrove; brother, David Musgrove; and sister, Bettye Eads.
