Carol Crawford transitioned from this life peacefully during the setting of the sun on Thursday, October 16th, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 16 1946 in New Orleans, LA, Carol was the 2nd child of Roscoe and Sentelia Pierre. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She graduated from 2nd Ward High School in Edgard, LA and went on to earn a B.S. degree in Business at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.

In April 1969, Carol married her college sweetheart, Murray Crawford. They first moved to Iowa to work for John Deere, then later relocated to New Mexico where they both worked in real estate for over 35 years. They shared 56 years of marriage and were blessed with two children and four grandchildren.

Carol's greatest joy was spending special moments and events with her husband, children and grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Meme".

She was a long time resident of Albuquerque and a devoted member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Dennis G. Dunn, Pastor.

Carol had a vibrant spirit and passion for people and community service. She was a dedicated member of the real estate community, serving in organizations such as Military on the Move, Military Relocation Network and Habitat for Humanity. With over 45 years in real estate, primarily with RE/ MAX, Carol had a heartfelt and genuine desire to help people. Each person was the most important client and she helped numerous families achieve their dreams of homeownership. Carol served as the 2nd Vice President of the National Council of Negro Women and was active in a myriad of civic activities including support of and working with the Children's Miracle Network and the NM Black Leadership Council. She was a 23-year supporter of the National Institute of Flamenco and served on the board of their charter school (Tierra Adentro) for 8 years. A dedicated volunteer at the Albuquerque Abruzzo International Balloon Museum since it's inception, Carol also served as a board member on the balloon museum foundation. Carol loved to surprise and delight her friends, family and colleagues with her Fiesta Dip.

Carol enjoyed smooth jazz, colorful clothing, a good glass of red wine and dancing. She also loved cooking her signature dishes for others, including Gumbo, her famous potato salad, pound cake and her homemade ice cream. Carol had a love for gardening, especially cultivating roses in a variety of colors and growing her own produce. Her "green thumb" was a testament to her nurturing spirit.

Carol leaves to cherish her memory her husband-Murray Crawford, children-Angela and Mark, grandchildren-Paris, Diego, Brooklyn & Venice and siblings-Errol Pierre (Rosalyn) of Edgard, LA, Armella Moreland of Glendale, AZ, Curtis Pierre (Rhonda) of Indianapolis, IN, Sarita Pierre Gomez (Mike) of Phoenix, AZ, Ardina Pierre of Atlanta, GA, Duvel Pierre of Phoenix, AZ and Marlon Pierre of Edgard, LA.

Carol Crawford will be missed dearly by her family, friends, colleagues and the many others she touched throughout her life journey.

Services for Carol will be held on Wednesday, October 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. The family invites all who loved and shared in Carol's life to join them.
