Ms. Carol Elizabeth Adams Burnett Crews, 84, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice) following an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late Jesse and Dorothy Howell Adams. and is preceded death in by her first husband of 32 ½ years Wilber A. (Buddy, Smiley) Burnett and then four years later Carol would marry DeWitt Crews and be married twenty-two years before his passing in 2017. Also preceding her in death her daughter Sharon Marie Gray, one sister Amelia Varnes, and two brothers James (Jd) Donald Adams and Ackle (A.B.) Bob Adams. And her maternal grandparents Otis and Alpha Witt Howell. She attended Mason City Schools from 1947-1958, and she worked for FW Woolworth from 1963-1967 and then attended beauty school from 1968-1969, then went to work for Save Way Beauty Supplies in 1969 and was known today as Sally's and stay there until retiring in 2000. She had lived in Jacksonville, FL till moving to Dalpha, AL for seven years before moving back home to Lake City in 2025.

Ms. Carol is survived by her children Elizabeth Deloach, Craig Crews (Jenny), Dale Crews (Lara) and Wendy Walker (Steve). Her son-in-law Ronald Gray, one brother Wayne Adams (Kathy) and one sister Melinda Hancock (John), sister-in-law Juanita Adams, sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday September 26, 2025, at 11:00 A.M.in the Cross Church with Reverend Kenneth Edenfield officiating and Pastor Ronald Gray. Interment will follow in Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to service at the Church. In lieu of flowers family asked that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation 13770 Noel Rd Suite 801889 Dallas TX, 75380 or Haven Hospice 6037 W. US HWY 90 Lake City, FL, 32055. Or Aunt Rosie Pantry at the Cross Church: 12518 US 441 South Lake City, FL. 32025. Arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S.
