Carol Curl Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Columbia Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Mar. 16, 2026.
Carol Jean Curl, 76, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Portland, Oregon, and raised in Vernonia, Carol married her high school sweetheart, Joe Curl, shortly after graduating, and together they built a life and raised their three children in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Carol was known for her devotion to her children, her infectious smile, and the laughter she shared with everyone around her. She earned her bachelor's degree in 1984 while raising three young children, a testament to her perseverance and belief in lifelong learning. Carol spent nearly 30 years as a real estate agent in Hillsboro, helping families find their homes and building lasting relationships in the community.

In retirement, Carol shared her life with her partner, Darrell, and enjoyed spending part of each year in Arizona, traveling, and embracing new experiences. One of her greatest joys was her beach house, where she created countless cherished memories with family and friends. Even in her later years, she continued the tradition of visiting the beach monthly with her sisters, laughing, reminiscing, and enjoying the ocean together.

Carol is survived by her children, Lisa, Michelle, and Rob; her grandchildren, Mitchell, Connor, Isaac, Luca, and Weston; her sisters, Cathy and Karen; and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, her strength, and the deep love she shared with her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished so dearly.
