Carol J. Danchise

Carol Danchise, a lifelong resident of Weehawken, NJ, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 68. Born and raised in Weehawken, Carol was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie Laino. She was also the devoted wife of the late Kenny Danchise, with whom she shared many years of love, laughter, and partnership.
Carol dedicated 45 remarkable years to teaching at Theodore Roosevelt School, where she touched countless lives through her compassion, patience, and commitment to her students. She believed deeply in the power of education and took pride in helping generations of children grow, learn, and discover their potential. Her impact on the community extended far beyond her classroom-she was a familiar, steady, and caring presence in the lives of families throughout Weehawken.
Carol is survived by her loving children, Brian and Heather, who carry forward her strength and kindness. She was a cherished grandmother to Domenic, Rory, and Wren, who brought immense joy and warmth to her life.
Known for her gentle heart, her unwavering dedication to others, and her deep roots in the town she loved, Carol will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her legacy of compassion and service to her community will live on in the many lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Theodore Roosevelt School PTA to support student programs-a cause close to Mrs. Danchise's heart throughout her many years teaching at TRS.
